i have no idea. and there's limit to the ways they get in. if that makes sense. i'm constantly having to stay on top of it. the upgrades for forum programs, wordpress, etc are constantly having to upgrade...every month or so, which means i have to upgrade every month or so, just to try and maintain so illusion of security. and the hacks that fuck up the forum where it's not usable is less then half. the rest are passive hacks...phishing shit....fake bank sites, etc...placed on the domain, in my folders with my hosting provider. you wouldn't believe that it's every couple of weeks...i'm being locked out of my own account bcuz of it.

anyway. this time it was some weird yahoo search engine script in the 'categories' sql in my database. which means they had my password. not just into the forum, but my hosting account, and the database for this forum. all of it i had to change. just sucks.
